03 Titles
Why styled text belongs in your name, not your titles
Video titles accept Unicode, and using it there usually costs you views. YouTube search matches the characters in the title, and 𝓗𝓸𝔀 is a different sequence from How, so a styled title stops matching the words people actually type.
A title is also read at thumbnail size, where a heavy style collapses into noise. The channel name is seen once and identifies you; the title has to be scanned in a fraction of a second and compete with every other result. Style the first, never the second.
04 Cooldown
Two name changes in 14 days
YouTube allows the channel name to change twice in 14 days. A change can also take a few minutes to propagate across search and subscription lists, so it will not look instant.
Changing an established channel name has a cost beyond the cooldown. Channel names carry weight that video titles do not: subscribers recognise you by name in their feed, and a fully restyled name reads as a different channel — which is an argument for styling one word rather than all of them.

Keeping a styled channel findable
Keep the searchable words plain and put the decoration around them. YouTube matches your name against what viewers type, so a channel where every letter is restyled will not surface for its own name.
A hundred characters is the most room any of these fields gives you. Instagram stops at 30, and Free Fire at 12, which is why a decorated name that works here rarely transfers.
Your @handle stays plain regardless, and that is what powers youtube.com links and mentions — so a styled display name never breaks the link to your channel. It only affects who finds you by typing the name.

Why a stylish channel name breaks
Boxes (☐) mean a device has no glyph for that character. YouTube runs on phones, browsers, consoles and TVs, and TV font coverage is the thinnest of the four — cursive and small caps are the safe choices if your audience watches on a television.
Two other failures have different causes. A name YouTube refuses to save usually means you are inside the twice in 14 days limit. A styled name pasted into the Handle field is rejected by design, because handles never accept these characters.
